Open Access Press (OAP) invites experts and scholars in various fields to submit proposals for establishing new journals here. If your institution (university, institute, college, laboratory, society, research center, academy, consortium, foundation, think tank, professional association, research alliance, governmental agency, etc.) intends to establish a journal, you can also submit a draft to OAP on its behalf.
This opportunity allows you to document your academic journey and research developments while building your influence in the field. As Journal Director (or Editor-in-Chief), you would have complete academic autonomy to determine the journal's scope, establish the editorial board, and set peer review standards, creating a research archive that grows alongside your academic career. Most importantly, it's fully funded by our research foundation.
We understand that launching a new journal requires substantial resources, which is why OAP is committed to providing comprehensive support at no cost to you or the authors. This includes a professional manuscript management system, dedicated editorial staff, international promotion, and all necessary technical infrastructure.
Please submit your proposal for launching a new journal with the following steps:
- STEP (1). Complete our initial consultation form: Journal Proposal Form [click to open]
- STEP (2). Our journal development specialists will contact you

About Journal Director
The Journal Director plays a pivotal role as the central coordinator for a newly established journal, serving as the essential link between all stakeholders in the publication process. This position requires the individual to oversee core journal management issues while acting as the primary bridge between the publisher (OAP), the journal's operations, and the editorial board members.
The Journal Director has the flexibility to either serve as the Editor-in-Chief, if qualified and willing to undertake this responsibility, or to nominate another suitable candidate for this position. Regardless of this choice, the Director maintains their crucial role as the coordinator between the publisher and board members. The organizational structure follows a clear chain of communication:
OAP ↔ Journal ↔ Journal Director ↔ Editor-in-Chief & Board Members
Importantly, OAP does not engage directly with board members; all communication must flow through the Journal Director, ensuring consistent and coordinated information exchange. This structure maintains clear lines of authority and communication, making the Journal Director the indispensable cornerstone of the journal's operational success.
