(I) Manuscript Types
1. Research Paper: It should have a clear research purpose, scientific research methods, detailed research results and reasonable conclusions, and conduct in-depth and systematic research on a specific issue in the field of coastal human settlements.
2. Review Article: It should conduct a comprehensive and systematic review of a research direction or theme in the field of coastal human settlements, summarize existing research results, analyze existing problems, and look forward to future development trends.
3. Short Communication: It should quickly publish some valuable but relatively concise scientific research results, such as a newly discovered experimental phenomenon, a newly proposed theoretical viewpoint, etc.
4. Perspective: Based on one's own professional knowledge and research experience, express personal views on a certain academic issue
5. Data Article: It should select representative coastal human settlement construction or renovation projects for in-depth analysis,
summarize experience and lessons, and provide reference for similar projects.


(II) Content requirements
1. Manuscripts should be no less than 5,000 words (in English), research articles should be no more than 8,000 words, and review articles should be no more than 10,000 words.
2. Manuscripts should not have been published in other official journals at home or abroad, and there should be no phenomenon of multiple submissions.
3. Figures and tables should be clear and accurate, with a resolution of no less than 300dpi. If you quote figures and tables, please indicate the source and obtain corresponding authorization.
(III) Format requirements
Manuscripts should be in Word document format. The specific layout format is not limited before the preliminary review.


III. Submission method
1. Log in to the official website to submit your manuscript. The online submission system address is: oap.link/CHS/submit
2. Please briefly introduce the author's basic information (including name, unit, title, research direction, etc.) at the end of the article.


IV. Review Process
1. After receiving the manuscript, the journal will conduct a preliminary review, mainly to check whether the manuscript meets the basic conditions such as the scope and format requirements of the journal. The preliminary review is generally completed within 7 working days.
2. Manuscripts that pass the preliminary review will enter the expert external review stage, and the external review time is generally 1-2 months.
3. After the external review, the editorial committee of the journal will make the final decision based on the review opinions and notify the author through the submission system and email.


V. Publication and Copyright
This journal is published in accordance with the Open Access and Creative Commons agreements. By submitting the manuscript, the author agrees to grant the journal the right to use it, including but not limited to the right to edit, modify, typeset and distribute the manuscript. The author reserves the statutory copyright such as the right of authorship.
