Aims

Urban Research is an international open‑access academic journal committed to promoting interdisciplinary innovation and development in urban studies. It aims to build a high‑quality academic platform with solid professional competence and industry influence, facilitate international academic dialogue, disseminate cutting‑edge research outcomes, exchange academic updates, and advance methodological innovations for urban‑related studies. The journal seeks to enhance international academic discourse power in the field, and invites scholars worldwide to jointly advance innovative development in urban construction and operation management.

Scope

The journal welcomes original theoretical explorations and practical innovations covering multiple dimensions of comprehensive urban development, construction and operation. Subject areas include but are not limited to: urban‑rural planning and construction; green and resilient design; environmental and energy engineering; low‑carbon and emission‑reduction technologies; digital space and resources; regional development and management; enterprise networks and industrial clusters; land and resource management; parametric design and modelling; urban organic regeneration; cultural heritage conservation; infrastructure engineering; ecological restoration and landscape security; sustainable design strategies; governance of urban‑rural public spaces; AI‑enabled smart city services; urban disaster prevention and emergency response.

We welcome contributions from interdisciplinary perspectives. Manuscript types include research articles, review papers, short communications, case studies and academic perspectives. Submissions from global researchers, practitioners and experts are highly encouraged.
